Although it seems as though a themed wedding is a little out of the ordinary, it might just give that special day the uniqueness that you desire.  There are many themes for you to choose from, but one that has been used before and can be extremely fun is a Japanese themed wedding.  In a wedding like this, it would be important to have a traditional red and black color scheme throughout the wedding venue.  It would also be fun to have bonsai trees scattered throughout the wedding area.   This would give the wedding a very Japanese feel.  Food at the wedding would also be extremely traditional.  Foods such as  shrimp tempura, sushi, and miso soup would be catered to this wedding.  You could have noodle bowls scattered around for people to snack on during the festivities.  The bride would be dressed in a traditional kimono and the man would be dressed likewise.  The visitors would be urged to dressed in a Japanese way, without chopsticks in their hair.  They could go out and wear kimonos as well if they so wish.  Invitations for a Japaneses themed wedding should be simply and elegant.  Like the wedding decorations,  it would be good to have the color scheme of the wedding invitations be red and black.  The wedding invitations should also stress the fact that it is a Japanese themed wedding they will be attending and that they should dress accordingly.  So send out the invitations and get ready to have a unique time.
