Inkjet printers might be the dominant force for home and small office users but there sometimes these users need something a little better. The Samsung CLP-300 is an alternative colour laser printer that does all the things inkjets are lacking and at a reasonable price as well. Samsung CLP-300 toner cartridges are reasonably priced and are the equivalent of buying two sets of inkjet printer cartridges for your average inkjet printer but they print a lot more than your average set of inkjet cartridge. There are four Samsung toner cartridges in all, one for each colour and they yield 1,000 pages each from the colours and 2,000 pages from the black. With a colour laser printer at this price there are some inevitable compromises one of which is the colour printing, while printing graphics is fine it when it comes to printing photographs that he CLP-300 starts to struggle. There’s nothing to complain about with the printing speed of the CLP-300 it even gets very close to the official figure of 16ppm in mono and 4ppm in colour printing which is rare because the manufactures always exaggerate these figures. The built quality of the CLP-300 is pretty average some of the plastics feel a bit flimsy and the overall design of the machine is not particularly attractive, its definitely more function over form with this printer. As a result the Samsung CLP-300 is a good all-round colour laser printer that does what it says on the tin.
