Life – it don’t half surprise you. Just last year my husband was in a right pickle – they say it’s a mid life crisis thing, where they start questioning everything, wearing aftershave everyday and start feeling useless. I just let him get on with it nut part of me was slightly concerned. He ended up going on a City and Guild training coursethrough work (maybe they noticed something odd in him and all) and it totally affected him in a positive way.

At first I was scared he’d go off the rails a bit but he got really focused in his course and kind of broadened his mindset in what he wanted to do with his life. Because it’s really easy at our age to think that the rest of your life is cut out for you. And if you get stuck on the treadmill, it can get you down. But this City and Guilds training course completely revived him. He’s now venturing into new business ideas of his own, and it’s really good to see him put into practical use everything he’s learnt. I’m dead proud of him.
